The SABRFC Return to Rugby (R2R) task force has been working hard to get us out on the field together as quickly and as safely as possible!  We have taken the time to understand the Quebec Government’s relaunch requirements, Rugby Quebec and Rugby Canada's recommendations and to gather information from well established return to play protocols from high performance sport in Canada and around the world (e.g., Own the Podium, the Canadian Olympic Committee and the Paralympic committee, World Rugby, New Zealand Rugby, Swiss Rugby and various National and Provincial sport organizations) in order to inform our own safe SABRFC R2R plan.

 

SABRFC R2R GUIDING PRINCIPLES

1. PROTECT: Our primary goal is to protect the health and safety of each of our members and minimize the risk of transmission of COVID-19.  

2. OPT IN: At any point of the R2R you will have the choice to “opt in.” We recognize that each club member may be experiencing things differently and may be at different levels of readiness to return. 

3. TRANSPARENCY & COMMUNICATION: We are committed to ensure transparency and communication throughout our R2R process. We are committed to making well informed decisions as we move along each phase of our “return.” That said, we will be very clear with our expectations and at the same time we will listen and encourage you to share your perspectives, thoughts and concerns.

4. ONECLUB: Finally, we are in this together and know that working together will be key to our successful and safe SAB R2R.
